I LOVE me some great Bourbon or Whiskey poured over one of those monster sized ice cubes (and yes there is a difference between those and the normal boring sized ones). I kinda just discovered this love of the southern juice when I visited Nashville last year for the first time. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved me a good handcrafted cocktail featuring bourbon or whiskey (bonus if there are egg whites in it too- don’t knock it til you’ve tried it) for years now, but drinking bourbon or whiskey by itself on the rocks?! Whole new ballgame.
Hooker’s House. Best. Name. Ever.
My birthday present to myself this year was to go to a Bourbon/Whiskey tasting. Lucky for me I found this awesome, fairly new, distillery. Literally in my backyard! Bonus? They are also known for their Limonchello (the only company to make FIG-chello too btw), Rums, and Vodka. Say hello to Prohibition Spirits. And I say thank you to an amazing friend who wasn’t opposed to some good old fashion straight alcohol day drinking.
Hello Lovers…
I was actually talking with my dad the other day about our lineage and he traced his dad’s side back to, get this- the year 960 (and no I didn’t forget a number). What does this have to do with Bourbon might you ask? Well it just so happens my grandfather x21 (ish), had the last name of BOURBON. Obviously a sign. Clearly this means it’s in my blood. Or that I should look into making moonshine. Either works for me.
My FAVORITE!!!
The RUM line up! Can we say Pina Colada?!
Can this please be my living room?
Willy Wonka’s factory? Or a distillery?
Leave it to Napkins (Napkin= slang for ‘person from Napa’ y’all) to use those wine making brain cells and come up with making spirits aged in wine barrels! Such a unique taste. TRY it. You’ll LOVE it.

Ashley! This is fabulous! And being a Bourbon girl myself-I’ve been thinking about going on a hunt for a unique, cool sounding bourbon, that I can call mine-thanks! bc I’m going to borrow yours now 😉
